Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Cloud Developer in Winchester, VA.

Summary:

Are you passionate about cloud architecture, automation, and modern infrastructure? We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to help design, build, and optimize secure cloud environments supporting critical enterprise applications and services.

What you’ll do:

• Design and implement cloud-based solutions leveraging IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and DaaS technologies
• Develop cloud architecture strategies that support scalability, security, availability, and performancei
• Migrate and modernize on-premises applications into cloud environments
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using industry best practices
• Implement Dev Sec Ops  automation for cloud resource provisioning and management
• Support Kubernetes-based deployments in managed and unmanaged environments
• Analyze cloud and hybrid architectures to provide recommendations for cost optimization, resiliency, and operational efficiency
• Troubleshoot cloud environments and support continuous improvement initiatives

• High School diploma or GED
• 5+ years of relevant experience in cloud engineering, cloud architecture, or infrastructure engineering
• Experience with AWS or Azure IaaS and PaaS technologies and best practices
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud-native services and solutions
• Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes environments
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including Terraform or Terragrunt
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
• Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

• Security+ Certification
• Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) Certification
• Experience with scripting and automation using Python or Bash
• Experience implementing or supporting Zero Trust architectures
• Experience with identity and access management technologies

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
