Summary
The maintenance Lead is the technical leader and the maintenance system owner for the portion / line. He/ She is responsible for eliminating maintenance and breakdown related losses. The Maintenance Lead is responsible for building capability in operating teams to deliver overall results. They are responsible to implement, maintain and continuously improve the DMSs they own in their area. Maintenance Leads own Defect Handling, Breakdown Elimination, Costs Control, Work Execution, Preventive Maintenance and Lubrication in their assigned area(s) and are to provide a continuity link to the MRE pillar.
Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed safely, effectively, and in a timely manner. Assists team members with technical issues or advanced problems with given assignments. Inspects work performed by team members. Tracks and logs workers time, materials, and other resources used for inventory.
Crucial duties and responsibilities
Work with all departments to meet or surpass the plant’s safety goals.Safety – must be on a Safety Team either as a co-leader or participant.Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.Establish, maintain and improve the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling business flow process.Good knowledge of SAP.Scope the full extent of maintenance work needed to conduct the relevant repair / preventive / predictive / design-out activities on the organization’s plant and equipment.Develop cost and time estimates of planned maintenance work.Purchase all vital parts, equipment, services and documentation to perform the maintenance work.Write applicable maintenance procedures that promote defect-free maintenance work quality.Build, support and work as a key stakeholder on the TRIOS team targeting downtime and required repairs.Review and distribute workload and resolve progress of work and completion dates.Compile reports of work in progress (WIP), inventory levels, cost, and production problems.Review documents, such as production schedules, work orders, or staffing tables, to determine personnel or materials requirements or material priorities.Connect with department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss necessary changes.Connect with personnel, vendors, and customers resolve complaints or eliminate delays.Owner of the KPI and 52-week plan in their area.Provides leadership to their team. Assist in the development and participates in Green Room process improvement meetings.Mentor and train all technicians assigned in your area.Verify WOs are properly filled out by technicians in your area, time managed and parts properly checked out of the stockroom.Performs other duties as assigned.Interpersonal Skills
