HP Hood LLC is seeking a Dock Shipper for its CW‑Nights (B Crew) shift. This role plays a critical part in ensuring products are loaded, secured, and shipped according to safety, quality, and customer standards.
Essential Functions- Follow all Safety SOPs and procedures.
- Perform loading, VNA, and receiving functions per SOPs.
- Provide breaks to Planners when needed.
- Operate a stretch wrapper, forklift, dock equipment, and battery changer safely.
- Fulfill orders per SOPs and customer/facility guidelines.
- Read and verify quantities on load tags to ensure skid counts are correct.
- Secure cases on quality pallets to maintain product integrity during transit.
- Receive, label, and perform basic tasks within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for product identification and adjustments.
- Utilize inventory management systems efficiently and accurately (WMS, YMS, Infolink, and TMS).
- Keep dock boards updated with critical information per SOP for efficient load-out.
- Monitor products on loaded trailers to ensure they meet customer expectations and certification requirements.
- Verify skid counts on loads match orders.
- Ensure products are loaded and unloaded safely, efficiently, and in compliance with SOP guidelines.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with others via radio, direct communication, and within systems.
- Inspect equipment and provide work orders for any items in need of repair to leadership.
- Validate, create, and provide changes for SOP documents for the position.
- Conduct shift‑change briefings with the incoming shift.
- Keep assigned areas and work floor clean and organized.
- Perform other duties assigned by shift supervisor.
- Perform various tasks related to the food safety and quality of company products.
- Excellent driving skills, hand/foot‑eye coordination, and manual dexterity.
- Good record‑keeping and clerical skills.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience or training as a forklift operator is desirable.
- Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is desirable.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Lift heavy items (over 70 lbs.) infrequently.
- Stand for long periods (minimum of 6 hours).
- Sit for long periods (minimum of 6 hours).
- Walk constantly.
- Climb infrequently.
- Bend frequently.
- Work with arms outstretched to the front.
- Push/pull items under 75 lbs. without assistance infrequently.
- Ability to become forklift certified.
- Ability to work in a cold warehouse environment.
- Ability to multi‑task.
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. The pay range for this position is $27.10 – $29.48 USD.
