The Distribution Operations Leader will provide training of warehouse personnel to maintain OSHA, ISO and internal requirements and assist in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities and customer satisfaction opportunities for the Distribution area. The Distribution Operations Leader will evaluate and manage equipment, systems, and facility to improve efficiencies and workflow as well as develop plans for resource utilization.

Job Duties
  • Lead and manage departmental personnel and assets to meet operational goals while maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Conduct short‑term planning to support shifting priorities and operational demands.
  • Perform ongoing problem‑solving and provide clear communication in a fast‑paced warehouse environment.
  • Secure cooperation from team members and effectively represent company policies in addressing disputed issues.
  • Identify cost‑reduction opportunities and work to eliminate waste.
  • Clearly communicate business objectives so employees understand how their work contributes to organizational success.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Essential Functions
  • Coordinate warehouse personnel and manage the flow of goods and shipments to support shift operations.
  • Supervise salary staff and oversee departmental processes in alignment with operational priorities.
  • Expedite distribution activities to meet storage and shipping schedules.
  • Administer attendance and payroll policies consistently while supporting broader plant guidelines.
  • Train hourly and salaried associates while maintaining safe working practices.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement projects.
  • Direct employees on safety, quality, production volume, cost control, and schedule adherence.
  • Provide coaching, training, and discipline as needed to support employee performance.
  • Promote positive employee relations by addressing issues promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, housekeeping standards, and safety procedures.
  • Ensure machinery, equipment, and facility areas are properly maintained for efficient operations.
  • Schedule vacations and overtime as needed to meet operational requirements.
  • Manage an hourly workforce on schedule; overtime and weekend availability required.
  • Execute other duties as assigned.
  • Prioritize implementation and progress updates on Distribution and Transportation initiatives.
  • Empower employees through positive reinforcement and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Share best practices and collaborate with management and peers.
  • Provide solutions and recommendations using a hands‑on, results‑driven approach.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 2–3 years of supervisory experience in a distribution, logistics, or warehouse environment.
  • Strong team orientation, self‑motivation, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of PkMS and SAP related to warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, including strong Excel skills.
  • Working knowledge of Six Sigma principles, along with strong quantitative, analytical, and process redesign capabilities.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, motivation, and employee‑inspiration skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to support and lead an empowered team environment.
