Production Manager
The Material Planner Associate plans and establishes production schedules. This role monitors material inventory, tracks progress of production, and reviews factors which affect schedules. This leader works with trucking companies to schedule production/shipping schedules and communicates with customer service or other functional areas as needed to ensure products are received and shipped. Lastly, this position prints tickets/placards/labels and manages all related functions to scheduling in tandem with shipping and production.
Responsibilities- Coordinates all production orders delivered to the production shop floor (includes all primary and secondary operations)
- Processes stock orders and dates production based on department capacity – communicates issues with operations
- Coordinates remake items and communicates information to the floor
- Works with production and shipping to ensure all orders are scheduled for delivery in a timely manner
- Full coordination with customer service and plant management on all issues relating to product scheduling for production
- Competent PC skills (Excel, Word and Masonite systems knowledge – Master‑pack Production Scheduling)
- Degree of creativity and latitude is required
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Ability to document, review and analyze workflow processes, company policies, and legal requirements to help establish, train and maintain improved processes
- Must be cross trained in shipping clerk functions and inbound scheduler functions
- BS degree – preferred
- 2–4 years in production scheduling
- Ability to lead and motivate co‑workers
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to diagnose crises immediately
- Self‑motivated with a results‑driven approach
- Able to work well under pressure
- Excellent organizational skills
- Must possess good communication skills
- Strong written and oral skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to interface with others and train others
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, with strong leadership, supervisory and people skills
- Computer literacy with general skills in data entry and spreadsheets (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
Fluent in English – bilingual is a plus
