Responsibilities

Operates packaging equipment according to product specifications and ensuring accuracy in weights and codes; adjusts machines as required.
Maintains proper documentation of downtime and repairs; performs minor repairs and routine maintenance work on equipment.
Continually checks the quality of the product, packaging, and case printing according to standard operating procedures and policies; reports any issues or concerns to the supervisor as needed.
Inspects and conducts regular deep cleaning of equipment after each product change.
Maintains cleanliness of equipment at all times.
Operates in accordance with health, safety, and fire prevention regulations and standards.
Partners with company leadership to proactively identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities in safety, food safety, quality, productivity, and sanitation.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required

Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
Able to respond to alarms and resolve problems in a timely manner.
Works well with teammates and communicates with all employees with respect and courtesy.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to balance, stand, walk, and work in high heat/humidity for 12+ hours per shift.
Must be able to perform simple grasping for 12+ hours per shift.
Must be able to lift up to 34 pounds for 12+ hours per shift.
Must be able to bend, crouch, stoop, and work in a dusty environment for 10+ hours per shift.
Must be able to push, pull, perform fine manipulation, and feel for 10+ hours per shift.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds for 10+ hours per shift.
Must be able to kneel, sit, reach above shoulders, and climb/work off ladder for 6+ hours per shift.
Must be able to make fine distinctions in sound, distinguish objects and equipment visually, and express or exchange ideas by spoken or written word.
