DescriptionThe Machine Operator is responsible for operating extrusion process lines safely and efficiently, performing minor maintenance, and ensuring product quality within specification. The role supports line and area leadership, assists with mechanical repairs, and maintains compliance with all safety and product regulations.
- Operate process lines and equipment as required, performing minor maintenance tasks.
- Measure product quality properties, input data into SAP, and take corrective action to maintain quality within specification.
- Assist Line Leads/Area Leaders with mechanical repairs and equipment troubleshooting.
- Perform product changeovers, complete necessary paperwork, and make necessary adjustments to the lines to ensure product quality.
- Assist other operators as needed, remove and grind scrap from rolls and gaylords.
- Notify Area Leader/Shift Supervisor and/or maintenance of all equipment/process problems.
- Maintain a safe work environment and promote safety practices.
- Performs all work in a safe manner; promotes and fosters a safe work environment.
- Operates process lines and other equipment as necessary and performs minor maintenance tasks.
- Measuring product quality properties, inputs data into SAP, to take corrective action to maintain quality within specification.
- Assists Line Leads/Area Leader in performing mechanical repairs.
- Performs product changeovers and completes necessary paperwork.
- Adjusts line settings to ensure product quality.
- Assists other operators as needed.
- Removes and grinds scrap from rolls and gaylords.
- Notifies Area Leader/Shift Supervisor and/or maintenance of all equipment/process problems.
High School Diploma or equivalent plus 1 year of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or a similar environment, or any equivalent combination of education and experience providing the required skills, knowledge, and ability.
Required Skills- Work in a team‑based environment.

- Write routine reports and correspondence in English.
- Apply basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).

- Hold a forklift operator license at the time of hire; otherwise, obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
