SummaryOperate multiple pouch machines safely and efficiently while performing quality control audits of SFG pouches.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Start up, operate, and shut down pouch forming, cooling, sealing, straw strip placement, coding, and conveying systems of the pouch machine.
- Make packaging roll changes as needed.
- Optimize equipment uptime; monitor mechanical operation of equipment and unjam machines.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems and notify technician of issues.
- Supervise quality issues; perform and record checks on pouch visual quality and seal alignment.
- Ensure adequate quantities of accurate rotated foil stock (FIFO) are available and tested.
- Complete all required audits. Document pouch material losses, downtime, and production totals; palletize finished boxes of pouches.
- Maintain good housekeeping and keep the area clean and orderly.
- Ensure completion of all DMS forms (e.g., CIL, CLM, 5S, Defect handling, Shift hand-offs, Oscar boards).
- Maintain the room in a tour-ready status.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
This position also has accountability for QRMP standards as outlined in the Winchester Kraft Heinz QRMP accountability document.

In addition to the capabilities above, a good candidate will possess strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and a basic understanding of mechanical parts and how they work.
Physical Considerations- Requires frequent walking and extended periods of standing.
- Ability to lift up to 65 lbs.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required (steel-toed shoes, hair and beard nets, bump caps, gloves, eye protection, aprons, etc.).
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment. Environmental considerations: non-temperature-controlled environment. May be required to work occasional overtime, including weekends. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs.
Other Considerations- Must be comfortable working on a tablet/computer.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written).
- Must be able to work as an individual contributor as well as part of a team.
- Adapt to a changing environment/schedule.
