Shop Technician

Build, assemble and maintain machinery for the sale and rental of drilling and grouting Equipment.

• Build New Equipment
• Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
• Use of electrical and hydraulic test equipment in an effective and efficient matter to setup and diagnosis equipment.
• Read production prints, electrical and hydraulic schematics, to produce or repair items as specified.
• Maintain and monitor production equipment, perform routine maintenance, replace worn components required.
• Operate company vehicles

• High school diploma or GED, required.
• Familiarity and/or working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic circuitry.
• Strong mechanical understanding of equipment related to electrical and hydraulic components, with specific experience related to: pumps, control valves, transformers, motor contractors, preferred.
• Experience working with engines, preferred.
• Ability to diagnose problems through strong critical analysis and logical thinking, required.
• Familiarity with welding and metal working equipment, preferred.
• Familiarity reading technical drawings related to flow control valve, hydraulic schematics, direct valves, motor symbols, motor contractors, switch symbols, piping and pump assembly, required.
• Proficient in mathematics including: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division without use of a calculator, required.
• Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task, required.
• Must possess good communication skills in being proactive, communicating status, ideas, troubleshooting tasks, required.
• Must possess and maintain in good standing a valid state driver’s license, required.
• Ability to operate computer, required.
