AboutThe Role
We're always on the lookout for talented brewers to join our team. While we may not have an immediate opening, we believe in connecting with skilled professionals who share our passion for exceptional beer. The ideal candidate brings solid brewing experience and a passion for the craft. You're comfortable handling brewing processes from brew day through filtration, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining the high standards our customers expect.
You're ready to take on more responsibility while learning from experienced brewers and contributing your own ideas to our brewing program.
Job Responsibilities:
- Adhering to all rules, regulations, policies, programs and related HACCP and GMP guidelines to ensure the safety, quality, and efficiency of Brew Dog projects, products, and equipment.
- Be proactive in maintaining and leading plant hygiene through cleaning plans, schedules, and cleaning requirements, with a keen awareness of risks to plant hygiene and consequences.
- Understand and carry out daily checks, and action any non-conformances highlighted while ensuring necessary lines of communication are maintained.
- Execute required tasks in a consistent, safe, and efficient manner, according to established standards and SOPs.
- Full competency across all functional areas within the brewing department.
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the operation of equipment in all areas in a safe manner in accordance with established standards.
- Have an in-depth understanding of the importance of maintaining accurate and meticulous records with the ability to scrutinize and improve on discrepancies.
- Use experience and technical knowledge to assess and adapt operations to mitigate risks to people, equipment, and product caused by issues encountered.
- Use technical insight and knowledge of relevant industry technologies to improve our processes across the brewing department.
- Ensure clear channels of communication with senior staff to guarantee the quality and consistency of our beers.
- Follow and interpret set out instructions/schedules, reacting and adjusting when needed.
- Be able to put together the daily task list for your assigned shift.
- Be a team player who works collaboratively, is flexible, and supports those around them.
- Carry out required sampling and analysis as indicated by senior team members and process requirements.
- Document relevant data and ensure information is concisely and clearly collected to allow for insightful real-time and retrospective analysis.
- Set an appropriate example in terms of attitude, work ethic, and professional development.
- Assist with on-the-job training for new members of the brewing team.
- Job will require the ability to lift up to 50lbs and maneuver up to 150lb keg. Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, and work close to the floor.
