Pediatric Nurse Practitioner – Pediatric Hospital Medicine

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our pediatric hospital medicine team at Winchester Medical Center. This role provides care to hospitalized children and newborns in a collaborative, well‑supported environment.

Position Highlights

• Provide care in a 17‑bed pediatric unit and newborn nursery with approximately 2,400 annual admissions
  • Pediatric Floor Average Daily Census: 5
  • Newborn Nursery Average Daily Census:
    15
• Collaborate closely with pediatric hospitalists in a team‑based care model
• Work an 8‑hour daytime shift, including weekends;
  no call required
• Participate in rounding, patient management, admissions, and discharge planning
• Access subspecialty support through leading institutions
  • University of Virginia (UVA)
  • INOVA
  • Children’s National Hospital
• Pediatrix also provides onsite
  NICU services

About You

• Certified Pediatric
  Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Experience in pediatrics, newborn care, or hospital medicine preferred
• Strong clinical judgement and decision‑making skills
• Team oriented with excellent communication abilities
• Committed to delivering family‑centered, high‑quality care
