A hospital in Winchester is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Medical Surgical/Telemetry team. This night shift opportunity offers the chance to care for a diverse adult patient population while working across both GI/Endoscopy and General Medicine units in a dynamic inpatient setting.
Position OverviewThe Medical Surgical/Telemetry RN provides comprehensive nursing care to hospitalized patients requiring both medical-surgical treatment and cardiac monitoring. This role includes rotating assignments between GI/Endoscopy and General Medicine units, requiring strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care throughout the night shift.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care to adult inpatient populations.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to established protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Support a culture of safety, quality, and compassionate care.
- Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse experience.
- Active Registered Nurse license in good standing.
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced inpatient environment.
- Experience with telemetry monitoring is a plus.
- Night shift
