Licensed Practical Nurse - Clinic

Job Overview

The LPN utilizes skills and knowledge to assist physicians and nurse practitioners in clinical functions related to the medical office, ensuring the highest degree of quality patient care at all times. Level of care is administered to patients of all age ranges with illnesses, diseases, or physical limitations. The role is evaluated by the Site Coordinator, Providers, and/or Medical Practice Manager.

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of a state accredited school of nursing.
• Experience in a medical office setting preferred.
• Active LPN license in the state of employment.
• BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) – American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) – AHA approved. New hires must have appropriate AHA certification prior to completion of orientation.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must be flexible, adaptable to various working conditions and job demands.
• Demonstrate patience, understanding, good communication skills, attention to detail, and resourcefulness.
• Maintain a professional attitude, accountability, and sensitivity to patients and customers.
• Knowledge of and ability to use basic office equipment, medical equipment and supplies necessary for daily duties.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
• Multi‑tasking skills necessary for performing day-to-day functions in a stressful, dynamic environment.
• Appropriate attire required per policy.
• Must function independently and as a team member, be flexible, dependable, and promote a professional image.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Knowledgeable in cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological states of human growth and development.
• Competent to provide assessment, care, and treatment appropriate to the age group of the patients served.
