Pay Range: $34.00 - $48.87

• Utilize nursing skills to carry out the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, evaluation, documentation, and time management.
• Ensure quality communication, teamwork, and professionalism in all interactions.
• Direct, coordinate, and implement patient teaching, quality/safety initiatives, and activities of other health team personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities and lead PI activities and department initiatives.
• Communicate and share information with the Director/Designee, coworkers, and hospital committees.
• Solicit and validate patient/family satisfaction, participate in peer review for the unit, and develop educational materials for staff, patients, and families.
• Maintain a current portfolio, submitted annually to the Director/Designee by March 1st.

• Educational requirement:
  Registered Nurse diploma, ASN, or ADN (required). Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience requirement:
  Minimum 1,872 full‑time or part‑time hours of RN experience (936 hours if holding a BSN) and completion of a performance evaluation.
• Licensure:
  Valid RN license in the applicable state (Virginia and/or West Virginia) or eligibility to obtain a license under the Nurse Licensure Compact; single‑state license also acceptable.
• Certification: BLS certification (Basic Life Support – American Heart Association Healthcare Provider) required before orientation. Relevant specialty certification is preferred.
• Must possess reliable phone communication with the hospital.
