Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cardiovascular Operating Room at a prestigious hospital in Winchester, VA. The ideal candidate will have experience in cardiovascular surgery and be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care
• Monitor and assess patient's vital signs and condition during surgery
• Assist with surgical procedures, including preparing and maintaining sterile fields, passing instruments, and providing supplies to surgeons
• Administer medications and anesthesia as directed by the physician
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient patient care
• Document patient care and communicate any changes in patient's condition to the physician
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia
• Minimum of 2 years experience in cardiovascular surgery
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Flexibility to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays
