Position Overview:As a Registered Nurse II (RN II), you will utilize your nursing skills to provide exceptional care to adult patients in a Level 2 Trauma Center. Your responsibilities will include patient assessment, planning, teaching, coordinating with the healthcare team, and maintaining professional standards to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
What You'll Do:Carry out the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation
Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team and promote quality and safety initiatives
Serve as Charge Nurse and participate in unit/hospital committees
Engage in ongoing professional development and education
Provide patient and family education
Associate Degree in Nursing (RN Diploma, ASN, or AND) required; BSN preferred
Current or eligible Virginia RN license
Experience with adult patients in med-surg/telemetry settings preferred
Able to work nights (12-hour shifts) with on-call responsibilities
Commitment to yearly competencies and professional growth
30-bed Medical Telemetry unit
Patient Ratio: 1:6
Common Diagnoses:
Acute Coronary Syndrome, s/p AMI, PCI, CHF, Peripheral Vascular Disease, Arrhythmias, Syncope, CADReporting to Clinical Manager of Medical Telemetry
Salary:
Mid-range approx. $41.44/hr (based on experience)Shift Differentials:
$3.50 Evenings
$5.00 Nights
$3.75 Weekend Days
$5.00 Weekend Evenings
$6.50 Weekend Nights
Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 - $20,000 (depending on RN II or RN III experience)
Relocation Assistance:
$5,000 if within 50-300 miles
$7,500 if over 300 miles
