Position Summary
Quality Control Analyst – This position is 100% on‑site in Winchester, Kentucky. Typical working hours are on the E shift (6 AM‑6 PM Saturday‑Monday, and every other Tuesday from 6 AM‑2:30 PM). The role is part of Catalent’s flagship U.S. manufacturing location for large‑scale oral dose forms, providing integrated analytical and development services.
Responsibilities- Perform efficient, reliable, and high‑quality analytical testing in accordance with USP/NF/EP/JP/FCC/etc. or customer‑supplied guidelines.
- Typical testing methods include Dissolution, Titration, Polarimetry, Loss on Drying, Viscosity, Residue on Ignition, Heavy‑Metal Content, FTIR, HPLC, GC, and related techniques.
- Maintain accurate written records of all analysis performed.
- Interpret and communicate analytical results and issues effectively.
- Schedule daily tasks in an organized and efficient manner.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
- Operate safely in the laboratory, following basic laboratory and chemical hygiene practices.
- Perform peer review of analytical testing and write up reports.
- Develop or update SOPs on an as‑needed basis.
- Support additional duties as required by Catalent Pharma Solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biology (or a related scientific field) is required; alternate non‑scientific degrees may be accepted with at least two years of relevant experience in a material testing laboratory.
- Minimum of two years in a Quality, Laboratory, Clinical, or Chemical manufacturing role is preferred.
- Physical ability to lift liquid containers and other objects weighing greater than 50 lbs.
- Ability to work safely in a dynamic environment that includes mobile and fixed equipment and changing conditions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multi‑tasking responsibilities.
