Position Overview
This is a true business development and territory sales role focused on generating new business opportunities and expanding market share throughout the region. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter who enjoys building relationships, prospecting, networking, and helping businesses solve operational challenges through technology.
While existing accounts and opportunities will be available, the majority of this position will focus on developing new business through consultative, business‑to‑business sales efforts.
Responsibilities- Develop and grow business throughout an assigned territory
- Prospect and generate new opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, and community involvement
- Conduct in‑person client meetings and presentations
- Identify customer challenges and recommend tailored technology solutions
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with business owners and decision‑makers
- Manage opportunities throughout the entire sales cycle from initial contact through close
- Cross‑sell additional services including managed print services, document management solutions, VoIP systems, IT services, and connectivity solutions
- Maintain accurate pipeline and activity records
- Collaborate with leadership and support teams to ensure successful client onboarding and implementation
- Represent DDL Business Systems as a trusted advisor within the local business community
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of business‑to‑business sales experience
- Proven ability to prospect and develop new business opportunities
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Comfortable conducting in‑person client meetings throughout the assigned territory
- Associate’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Outside sales or territory sales experience
- Experience selling technology, business services, telecommunications, office equipment, managed services, or similar solutions
- Experience working directly with business owners and decision‑makers
- Background in consultative or solution‑based sales
- Base salary of $40,000 - $45,000
- Uncapped commission structure
- First‑year earning potential of $75,000+
