Physical Requirements- Install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on commercial rooftop HVAC units, typically independently
- Get tools onto the rooftop via fixed or extension ladder
- Work at heights and lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally
- Lifting to shoulder and overhead up to 25 lbs. occasionally
- Push/pull wheeled cart up to 150 lbs.
- Climb ladder up to roof height and extend reach overhead repetitively
- Manual tandem lifting up to 125 lbs.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- HVAC trade school graduate (preferred with 3.5 GPA and excellent attendance)
- 1+ years in mechanical support role; some hands‑on HVAC experience preferred
- EPA Certification – Type I & Type II or Universal (preferred)
- NATE certification a plus
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 90 lbs
- Technical aptitude for maintenance, service, and troubleshooting
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Good electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills
- Ability to complete repairs and required paperwork
- Work independently and self‑schedule
- Self‑motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Availability for weekend and night work occasionally
- Willingness to relocate to another part of the country once training is completed
- Local travel may be required
Hourly non‑exempt role. Salary range: $36,000 – $45,000 annually. The starting salary may be influenced by geography, tenure, performance, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications. Employees are not eligible for a bonus but earn overtime for hours beyond 40 in a week.
