Resource Program Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Interprets and applies laws, policies, and regulations in assigned area of responsibility, specifically resource family homes, foster care, adoption, and child protective services.
• Maintains general knowledge of child welfare policies and principles.
• Completes Mutual Family Assessments and reassessments of resource families, kinship families, and ICPC.
• Maintains licensing standards for all resource homes in accordance with policy and accurately maintains reporting and documentation on the licensing status.
• Engages in retention activities of resource families.
• Monitors, coordinates, and administers recruitment activities that generate the quantity and quality of inquiries for viable licensed resource homes.
• Maintains and implements an annual recruitment plan.
• Monitors, coordinates, and administers PRIDE and other ancillary trainings.
• Performs case management activities for all resource family homes.

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field or any related field plus completion of required training programs or an equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Minimum two years of experience in the assigned program area.
• Possession of a BSW or MSW degree and a Commonwealth of Virginia Social Work License preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
