Family Services Supervisor

Description

• Lead with Compassion:
  Oversee and mentor a dynamic team of Family Services professionals, guiding them with empathy and professionalism to provide the highest level of service to children and families.
• Champion Child and Family Well-Being:
  Advocate for the safety, permanency, and well-being of children, ensuring family needs are addressed with integrity, diligence, and a strengths-based approach.
• Strengthen Families and Communities:
  Collaborate with parents, kin, caregivers, service providers, and community partners to promote family stability, timely permanency, and access to supportive resources.
• Drive Team Excellence:
  Empower staff through training, coaching, performance feedback, and ongoing support to ensure high-quality practice and positive outcomes for families.
• Ensure Compliance and Quality Practice:
  Maintain current knowledge of state regulations, child welfare policies, and best practices to ensure services are delivered in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
• Create Positive Impact:
  Lead initiatives that enhance service delivery, improve outcomes for children and families, and foster a culture of accountability, growth, and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field or a Bachelor's Degree in any field and a minimum of 2 years of appropriate and related experience in a Human Services is required. A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a Master Degree in Social Work is preferred
• Possession of a Commonwealth of Virginia Social Worker license is preferred
• Considerable experience in an assigned program area/human services programs and completion of required training programs
• Supervisory experience or work experience in a leadership role
• Valid Driver's license
