Non-CDL Shuttle & Transport Driver - Uni First

Uni First is seeking a reliable and hardworking Non-CDL Shuttle & Transport Driver to join our team. The driver will transport and deliver production materials between plant and branch locations using a Non-CDL vehicle. We offer a 40‑hour work week, Saturday and Sunday off, and on‑the‑job training.

Responsibilities
- Safely drive an interstate, non‑CDL required commercial motor vehicle in compliance with all federal and state regulations and company policies.
- Utilize equipment to maximize productivity and minimize wear and downtime.
- Transport product between branch and plant locations according to schedule.
- Select and load the appropriate product for each day.
- Load and unload the vehicle safely and efficiently, ensuring proper load distribution and securement.
- Maintain Hours of Service logs as required.
- Conduct daily pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle safety inspections and complete the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report.
- Correct minor defects and deficiencies; top off fluids, replace bulbs, wiper blades, and maintain emergency equipment inventory.
- Report unsafe conditions, accidents, roadside inspections, and incidents immediately.
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of vehicle inside and out to meet Uni First standards.
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
- Follow all safety policies, HACCP, and medical guidelines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable driving experience.
- At least 21 years old.
- Valid driver's license.
- Clean driving record in accordance with Uni First Pre‑employment Background Policy.
- Ability to pass DOT physical and non‑DOT drug screen.
- Can lift up to 20 lbs and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Strong written and oral English communication skills.
- Excellent communication skills for working with team and management.
- Critical thinking skills to solve practical problems.
- Can read, follow shipping information, and make inspections.
- Can operate the vehicle for extended periods of time.
- Can load and unload material at each delivery destination.
- Can comply with all DOT regulatory requirements.
