Winder First United Methodist Church seeks an accomplished and dedicated Accompanist to our worship life and music ministry. The ideal candidate will be a skilled pianist with the ability to play both traditional hymns and contemporary worship music. Organ proficiency is welcomed but not required. Strong improvisational skills and a collaborative spirit are highly valued.

• Provide piano accompaniment for Sunday morning worship services.
• Accompany choir rehearsals on Wednesday evenings from 6:00–8:30 p.m.
• Support additional ensembles, soloists, or special music as needed.
• Collaborate with the Worship Leader and pastoral staff to prepare music for weekly services.
• Rehearse independently to ensure preparedness for all musical selections.
• Accompany seasonal services such as Advent, Christmas, Holy Week, and special events.
• Offer musical leadership that enhances congregational singing.
• Maintain reliable communication regarding scheduling, preparation, and music needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.

• Strong piano proficiency, with demonstrated experience in traditional hymns, contemporary worship, gospel, and southern gospel styles.
• Ability to read music confidently and accompany choirs and soloists.
• Improvisational skills preferred.
• Organ experience is welcome but not required.
• Previous experience in church music ministry is desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and musicians.
• Professional reliability, punctuality, and positive interpersonal skills.
