Bus Monitor/Education Support Floater

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our Head Start team as a Bus Monitor/Education Support Floater. As a Bus Monitor/Education Support you will accompany the bus driver to pick up and take home all children assigned to the route, provide support to classrooms where a high need has been identified, and substitute as needed.

• Monitor student behavior and ensure compliance with bus rules and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and bus drivers.
• Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus safely.
• Educate students on proper bus conduct and safety procedures.
• Provide support to students with special needs or disabilities.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and incidents during bus rides.
• Assist Teacher and Teacher assistant when needed in classrooms.
• Assist in cleaning classroom and equipment.

• Strong behavior management skills to effectively handle challenging situations on the bus.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with students, parents, and school staff.
• Experience working with children, particularly in a classroom or childcare setting.
• Knowledge of special education practices and techniques for supporting students with disabilities beneficial.

• Must be eligible to work in a licensed child development center.
• High school Diploma or GED required.
