Maintenance Assistant

The Maintenace Assistant provides a variety of standard and skilled tasks in the maintenance and repairs of center grounds and facility.

• Works closely with and follows direction of director/supervisor.
• Maintains building and grounds in a clean, safe and orderly condition.
• Maintains and repairs basic functions of center as determined by the Maintenance Director.
• Takes care of tools and equipment.
• Makes minor repairs on handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lights, fire alarms and extinquishers, changes filters on HVAC equipment, carries, lifts and stock supplies.
• Remains on call when assigined for 24/hrs a day.
• Assumes supervisor's responsibilties in his/her absensce.
• Ensures that customers/families recieve the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere.
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Prior experince in LTC prefered (not required)
• High school Diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and capentry
