The Laser Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in Winder, GA. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring laser cutting machines to produce precision metal components according to specifications. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting work orders and blueprints, selecting appropriate materials, performing machine adjustments, and ensuring parts meet quality and safety standards. The Laser Operator will inspect finished parts, perform basic equipment maintenance, and communicate with supervisors or team members regarding production issues or improvements.
The position also involves working within established production schedules, following safety protocols, and contributing to an organized, efficient fabrication environment.
- Candidates should possess strong CNC Machine Operation skills, including setup, adjustment, and routine maintenance of fabrication equipment.
- Candidates should possess Laser Cutting and Laser operation skills, with the ability to read and apply technical drawings and cutting programs.
- Candidates should possess Quality Control skills, including accurate measurement, inspection, and documentation of parts to meet specifications.
- Candidates should possess Operations Management awareness, such as understanding production workflows, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
- Experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and use measurement tools (e.g., calipers, gauges) accurately.
- Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and consistent, reliable attendance.
