Class B Shop Mechanic # Class B Shop Mechanic Hot Job Northeast Sales Distributing Inc - Winder, GA 30680## Overview Job Shift Day## Description We are looking for a Class B mechanic that is self motivated and works well with others.  Must be able to identify problems with automotive vehicles as well as class 7-8 trucks.  We are a fleet of 60+ vehicles and daily duties can range from changing tires to changing head gaskets.

General Responsibilities:

* Diagnose mechanical problems on fleet vehicles
* Make service calls on broken down trucks
* Perform maintenance on light/medium duty and heavy-duty class trucks
* Complete paperwork in a timely manner
* Keep a clean workspace
* Perform tasks given by shop manager

Qualifications:

* Must have a valid drivers license (Class A is a plus but not necessary)
* Must have own tools
* Excellent troubleshooting skills and eye for detail
* Ability to work independently and efficiently in a reasonable amount of time
* Minimum of 1 year experience in a technician position and knowledge of both gasoline and diesel engines
* Ability to perform inspections with limited supervision in the following heavy truck or automotive systems: suspensions and steering, general engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, drive train, diesel emissions, hydraulics
