Seeking a skilled and safety-focused Driller to operate drilling equipment and lead drilling operations at job sites. This role is responsible for executing drilling projects efficiently, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and oversee drilling rigs and related equipment for various drilling projects (e.g., construction, geotechnical, environmental, or resource extraction)
- Lead and coordinate drilling crew activities on-site
- Interpret drilling plans, site layouts, and technical specifications
- Monitor drilling progress, soil/rock conditions, and equipment performance
- Ensure proper handling, mixing, and disposal of drilling fluids and materials
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on drilling equipment
- Maintain accurate logs and records of drilling activities and site conditions
- Adhere to all safety protocols, regulations, and environmental guidelines
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
- Proven experience operating drilling equipment (type may vary: auger, rotary, directional, etc.)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and site plans
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Valid driver’s license (CDL may be required depending on role)
- Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy equipment
- Safety Focus: Strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
- Leadership: Ability to supervise and direct crew members effectively
- Attention to Detail: Accurate monitoring and documentation of drilling activities
- Problem Solving: Ability to adapt to changing ground conditions and equipment issues
- Teamwork: Works well with crews, engineers, and project stakeholders
- Full-time position
- May require travel to job sites
- Overtime and weekend work may be required

- Salary range on experience $22.00 up to $30.00/hour
