Warehouse Associate

The Warehouse Associate receives, stores, and distributes material, equipment, and products in the warehouse.

• Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
• Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.
• Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
• Comply with all OSHA safety requirements, work rules and regulations.
• Utilize proper body mechanics when lifting objects up to 50 pounds, and get assistance for lifts greater than 50 pounds.
• Report unsafe conditions and behaviors to supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas.
• Support the company vision and mission, and demonstrate the corporate core values in all professional activities.
• Compile and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
• Follow systems and procedures outlined in company manuals.
• Perform all other duties as requested by management.

• Formal education and certification: high school diploma.
• Solid, dependable history of safe, consistent work.
• Experience utilizing material handling equipment, such as forklifts and combi‑lifts.
