Part-time Faculty - University Supervisor of Student Teachers

Eastern Connecticut State University's part-time Supervisors of Student Teachers provide support and assess teacher candidates in the following undergraduate and graduate certification programs:
Early Childhood, Elementary, Physical Education, Special Education, and Secondary. The primary responsibilities of University Supervisors are to observe teacher candidates, collect formative and summative data, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders. University Supervisors are experienced teachers and administrators who share their expertise with our novice educators. They bridge course instruction with practical application in the classroom and foster development among future teachers.

Qualifications:

* Master's degree or Sixth-year Diploma in Education

* Evidence of mentoring or leadership skills

* Strong communication skills (oral and written)

* Extensive instructional experience

* Teacher certification desired
