SpecificJob Duties
- Design, execute, and analyze laboratory tests and experiments to support product development, qualification, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports that document testing activities, analysis methods, results, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records in accordance with quality system requirements.
- Communicate certification testing results and technical information to external agencies, including UL, CSA, and DLA.
- Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the ISO 17025 quality management system.
- Lead and participate in Design of Experiments (DOE) and structured problem-solving activities.
- Provide technical guidance to project teams regarding appropriate test methods and validation strategies.
- Develop, validate, and document new test methods, procedures, templates, and laboratory best practices.
- Work independently while providing direction and support to laboratory technicians to ensure project objectives are met.
- Actively contribute to laboratory safety programs, housekeeping initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical information to audiences ranging from non-technical stakeholders to subject matter experts.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Transparent, team-oriented approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn new technologies and methods.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion.
- Strong analytical and engineering problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency with PC applications, data analysis tools, and technical systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Experience working within ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 quality systems.
- Ability to interpret and apply technical standards, certifications, specifications, and industry documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage projects and effectively communicate technical results.
- Ability to work on site 5 days per week.

- 2+ years of hands-on professional experience owning equipment, calibrations, testing schedules, procedures, reporting and technician interactions in an industrial, manufacturing or R&D laboratory is strongly preferred.
- Experience in the wire and cable and/or fiber optic industry is strongly preferred.
- Proven success working across various departments within an organization.
- Experienced in training others in a lab environment preferred.
- Experience maintaining accurate test procedures and templates.
- The typical base salary range for this role is $78,000.00 to $. Actual placement within this range will be determined by factors such as relevant experience, education, skills and geographic location.
