Job Title

Employment Type

Fee For Service, Part-time, 10 hours/week

Schedule

Primarily Evenings and Saturdays; hours based on needs of the program

Program/Location

PTIP East, Willimantic, CT

Responsibilities
  • Provide psychoeducation counseling and support to individuals and groups with substance use disorders, utilizing professional training and personal recovery experience.
  • Educate clients and their families about behavioral health and substance use disorders, treatment options, and coping strategies.
  • Coordinate and manage client care with community providers and other referral agencies to ensure comprehensive and continuous treatment in collaboration with the client’s assigned clinician/therapist and clinical team.
  • Meet all requirements of program contracts, including productivity, caseload management, reporting, and timeliness of client contact.
  • Perform tox screens, including observed urine screens, oral swabs, and/or hair testing.
  • Attend training sessions conducted by CHR staff or external consultants as requested or required.
  • Actively participate as a full member of the treatment team, attending all staff meetings and team meetings.
  • Perform other duties related to the position as needed.
Qualifications
  • Must have knowledge of substance use disorders.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be computer literate.
Education

Associate or bachelor’s degree required.

Experience

Personal experience with recovery and a commitment to supporting others on their journey is highly valued in this role. Minimum of 2 years’ experience with an associate’s degree and 1 year experience with a bachelor’s degree working in a setting with individuals with substance use problems.

Licensure/Certification /Registration

C.A.C. or C.A.D.C. preferred.

Compensation

$26.00/hour
