Matulaitis Rehabilitation & Skilled Care, Putnam, Ct., is seeking a passionate and experienced Administrator to lead daily operations at our long-term care and rehabilitation facility. Matulaitis is a non-profit, 119 bed health care facility operating in a home-like Christian atmosphere. The Administrator is accountable to the Board of Directors and in this role must ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations, and perform in accordance with the organization’s approved mission, philosophy, and policies to create a safe, supportive environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Must be able to serve full-time on site and be on 24-hour call.
  • Residents First:
    Ensure resident care remains the top priority for all staff, with external services meeting regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Financial Oversight:
    Oversee financial management tasks such as budgeting and resource allocation to ensure efficient operation of the facility.
  • Address Concerns:
    Handle complaints from employees, families, and visitors with professionalism.
  • Community Engagement:
    Represent the facility positively within the community while promoting its services.
  • Safety Leadership:
    Implement and monitor safety programs, including fire prevention, ensuring a secure environment for all.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Long-Term Care Administrator or a similar healthcare management role.
  • A current Connecticut Nursing Home Administrator’s license in good standing.
  • At least a bachelor’s degree in public health, business administration, or another related field.
  • Personal integrity, strong leadership, team building and communication skills (the ability to work effectively with others).
  • Proven experience in census development and fostering relationships with healthcare providers and community stakeholders.
  • A record of successfully implementing operational policies and programs to deliver quality care.
  • A forward-thinking mindset, with a willingness to adopt new management practices to enhance care and efficiency.

Compensation - a competitive package plus benefits will be negotiated per qualifications and prior experience.
