Position: Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Windham

Orange Tree Staffing is seeking a bright and talented Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to “Build and Inspire Growth” by providing education-based therapy services to students located in Windham County, CT for the School Year!

JOB DESCRIPTION

REQUIREMENTS
  • SLPA State Certification
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in conducting screenings to help identify students with speech and language needs.
  • Support the implementation of individualized, evidence-based treatment plans designed by the supervising SLP.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students under SLP supervision, targeting communication skills that support academic and social success.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to help integrate speech and language strategies into classroom activities.
  • Prepare progress notes and share observations with the supervising SLP to inform IEP meetings and ongoing planning.
  • Monitor student performance during sessions and provide feedback to the supervising SLP for adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of therapy activities, student responses, and assigned documentation.
  • Participate in training and professional development to remain current with best practices in speech and language support.
