Job DetailsA Day in This Role You might start the morning walking the floor of a newly acquired branch that's still running on paper and handshake deals — meeting the team, diagnosing why dispatch keeps falling behind. By midday you're coaching that branch's manager through a cleaner scheduling process, then reviewing labor and billing data to find where money's leaking out of the order-to-cash cycle.
You close the day on a call with the COO, flagging what needs executive attention and what you can fix yourself — then you're back on the road to the next stop.
- Travel to newly acquired branches (often very "mom and pop") and help professionalize dispatch, service flow, inventory, and more.
- Coach and mentor Branch Managers and Service Managers on running strong P&Ls and efficient, profitable service operations.
- Find and fix order-to-cash issues — billing, routing, or process gaps — and lock in the improvement so it sticks.
- Help integrate acquisitions — blending cultures, systems, and processes, moving teams from paper to platforms like Net Suite or Service Titan without losing trust or morale.
- Champion a true "Safety First" culture across all field operations, ensuring OSHA and company standards are lived, not just met.
- Act as the field-level early-warning system for executive leadership — flagging risks and opportunities before they become bigger problems.
- Standardize training and onboarding so newly integrated teams ramp up quickly and consistently.
- 7+ years of operations leadership in the Commercial Door, Dock, or Access Control industry.
- Deep working knowledge of commercial entry solutions (doors, dock equipment, high-speed doors).
- Willingness to travel 75%+ of the time on a regional basis.
- Comfort with ERP/FSM systems (Net Suite, Service Titan, or similar) and strong Excel skills.
- Prior exposure to M&A integration or multi-site standardization work.
- Formal safety program development or OSHA leadership experience.
This role sits at the inflection point of a PE-backed growth story — as the platform adds branches through acquisition, this role's scope, territory, and influence grow right along with it. Strong performers are well-positioned for a path toward VP of Operations or a broader multi-region mandate as the company continues to scale.
A bit about us:Ready to build the playbook, not just follow one? Our client is a fast-growing, private-equity-backed leader in the commercial door, dock, and access-control industry. Fresh off surpassing 100 employees, the company is in full "buy and build" mode, with multiple acquisitions closing this year and an even stronger pipeline ahead. They're looking for a Regional Director to be the tactical right hand to the COO — the critical bridge between the technicians in the field and the executives driving growth.
The salary range above doesn't include additional compensation perks.
Why join us?- A true career-defining role — join at the inflection point and grow your influence, scope, and trajectory right alongside the platform.
- Real PE-backed momentum — hands-on exposure to M&A integration and high-level strategy from day one.
- You’ll help build the playbook, not maintain the status quo — this is a chance to set the regional operating standard.
- You’ll earn respect on both sides of the business — talking shop with seasoned techs and KPIs with executives.
- A leadership team that wants a fixer, not a spectator — you’ll be trusted to jump in and solve real problems.
