Job Description:

This hands-on role involves producing precision components, tooling, prototypes, and production parts using a variety of manual and CNC machines. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced with a wide range of shop equipment, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where quality and craftsmanship are valued.

Responsibilities:

Good organizational, work planning and documentation skills

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes

Proficient in the use of calipers, micrometers, and visual comparators to evaluate critical drawing dimensions

Operate common machine shop equipment including manual lathes, Proto TRAK CNC Milling Machines, Proto TRAK CNC Turning Machines, horizontal, and vertical band saws Operate your machines to grind, cut, and polish the materials

Finish projects using manual tools

Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure they remain in good working order

Qualifications/Requirements Minimum 10 years of related experience

Machinist vocational certificate or completed industry apprenticeship

Manual dexterity and high attention to detail

Lathe machining experience

Quality mindset with Blueprinting reading skills and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
