• The Telemetry RN provides comprehensive patient care in a telemetry unit, focusing on continuous cardiac monitoring and assessment.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs; respond to abnormalities.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during cardiac-related procedures.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality.
• Document nursing history and assessments; initiate patient education on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle changes.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Adhere to safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.
• Perform other duties within the scope of practice as assigned.

• One year of recent experience as a Telemetry RN
• Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification

• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification
• NIHSS certification
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

• Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and English communication
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions; PC skills
• Physical Abilities – ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50-100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
• Interpersonal Skills – work effectively with a variety of personnel
• Technical/Motor Skills – ability to grasp, manipulate, and move about during procedures and with equipment
• Mental Requirements – ability to cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work with or without supervision, manage irregular schedules, and maintain attention to detail
• Sensory – visual acuity and effective communication
