• Supervise patient care and clinical personnel.
• Oversee daily operations of the assigned department.
• Manage staffing schedules and payroll.
• Adjust unit staffing patterns based on care requirements and patient census.
• Teach, coach, and mentor colleagues for professional growth.
• Promote compliance with regulatory standards through audits and tracers.
• Communicate department decisions and policies to colleagues.
• Participate in department and hospital committees.
• Assist nursing leadership with patient concerns and compliance issues.
• Work as a staff RN as needed to ensure quality care.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing required, Master's degree preferred.
• Experience:
  
  2+ years of acute care nursing experience required, 1+ year of supervisory experience preferred, 1 year of experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.

  Certifications:
  
  Current RN License in Connecticut, BLS certification required.
