Maine General Medical Center is seeking an enthusiastic, board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Hospitalist to join our dynamic team in Augusta, Maine
.
Deliver full-scope, evidence-based care in a state-of-the-art facility.
The Role at a GlanceComprehensive Care
:
Manage well-newborns, run a Level II NICU, attend deliveries, handle pediatric inpatients, and provide ED consults.Critical Stabilization
:
Confidently lead neonatal resuscitation and stabilize critically ill newborns prior to tertiary transport.Clinical Teaching
:
Mentor 1-2 learners (Family Medicine residents/medical students) on weekdays.
Manageable Workload
:
Average daily census of 4 to 6 patients.Flexible Scheduling
: 12-hour or 24-hour shifts available.Strong In-House Support
:
Practice independently with on-site backup from OBs, midwives, anesthesia, and emergency physicians. Phone support from regional children's hospitals is just 1 hour away.
