Job DescriptionQualified candidates will have the skills and knowledge to teach in a student-centered and mass customized learning environment in a progressive elementary school located in southern Maine.
Responsibilities- Implement instruction from planned objectives.
- Diagnose and prescribe learning activities appropriate for individual children.
- Evaluate pupils' academic and social growth, keep appropriate records and prepare progress reports.
- Maintain communication with parents regarding student progress, both formally and through periodic reports and conferences.
- Perform necessary non-teaching duties essential to the day-to-day operation of the school.
- Maintain a professional working relationship with all staff members.
- Assume responsibility for developing good public relations with members of the community.
- Identify pupil needs and cooperate with other professional staff members in assessing and helping pupils solve health, attitude, and learning problems.
- Participate in curriculum development programs as necessary.
- Participate in faculty committees and sponsorship of pupil activities.
- Maintain professional competence through in-service education activities.

Job Requirements- Must hold Maine certification as an Elementary Classroom Teacher and have an approved CHRC at the time of hire.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
