Qualified candidates will have the skills and knowledge to teach in a student-centered and mass customized learning environment in a progressive elementary school located in southern Maine.

• Implement instruction from planned objectives.
• Diagnose and prescribe learning activities appropriate for individual children.
• Evaluate pupils' academic and social growth, keep appropriate records and prepare progress reports.
• Maintain communication with parents regarding student progress, both formally and through periodic reports and conferences.
• Perform necessary non-teaching duties essential to the day-to-day operation of the school.
• Maintain a professional working relationship with all staff members.
• Assume responsibility for developing good public relations with members of the community.
• Identify pupil needs and cooperate with other professional staff members in assessing and helping pupils solve health, attitude, and learning problems.
• Participate in curriculum development programs as necessary.
• Participate in faculty committees and sponsorship of pupil activities.
• Maintain professional competence through in-service education activities.

Position Type: Full-time

• Must hold Maine certification as an Elementary Classroom Teacher and have an approved CHRC at the time of hire.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
