- • Provide direct care for members with opioid use disorder through group visits, individual sessions, and Initial Provider Evaluations
- • Manage a panel of members as dedicated continuity provider, reviewing care plans and medications
- • Provide coverage for makeup groups, individual sessions, and initial evaluations
- • Conduct evaluation and management services and assess appropriateness for treatment
- • Prescribe medications for opioid use disorder and other approved medications
- • Review and sign generated prescriptions
- • Coordinate with community providers and agencies
- • Provide cross-coverage and answer medical questions for other providers
- • Act as medical consultant for interdisciplinary care team meetings
- • Participate in the on-call schedule, typically one Saturday per month for 2–3 hours
- • Delegate access to the state prescription drug monitoring database
- • Complete accurate same-day documentation and maintain confidential HIPAA-compliant records
- • Manage 10–20 contracted providers and/or up to 4 staff providers
- • Serve as primary contact for medical concerns and escalations
- • Assist with provider onboarding, training, education, and support
- • Conduct chart reviews and direct care observations and provide feedback
- • Complete provider reviews and address clinical and performance issues
- • Support training, performance improvement, and change-management activities
- • Roll out protocols, workflows, and care pathways
- • Provide middle-management support to frontline providers
- • Collaborate on initiatives to improve clinical outcomes
- • Work with the Provider Support Manager and Operations Director on administrative support
- • Perform other duties assigned by medical or operational leadership
- Active, unencumbered APRN/PA medical license in the state(s) of hire where Groups Recover Together operates
- Appropriate behavioral health or addiction medicine NPI taxonomy, or willingness to adjust primary or secondary NPI taxonomy
- Active DEA with practice address in the state(s) of hire and willingness to obtain additional licenses as requested
- No background issues that could limit state licensing or credentialing
- Proof of active board certification(s)
- Willingness to become credentialed with all government and private health plans with whom Groups Recover Together is in network
- Ability and willingness to see members in person at pre-agreed locations
- Evening availability two evenings per week until 8 p.m. preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience managing opioid use disorder with buprenorphine
- Proof of completion of the minimum 8-hour SAMHSA training
- At least 2 years of experience working in a team-based-care setting with behavioral health providers
- At least 2 years of experience working with a similar member population, preferably in primary care or a behavioral health setting
- Reliable internet and telephone services with at least 10M download and 5M upload, plus a strong WiFi signal
- Must meet pre-employment requirements and applicable state/job-related background screening guidelines, potentially including fingerprinting, drug testing, health screening, CPR/Basic First Aid, and license/credential verification
- Recovery-sensitive behaviors and commitment to harm reduction principles
- Effective use of telehealth and group medical visit settings
- Courtesy, professionalism, discretion, and ability to work independently
- Leadership, coaching, and team-inspiration abilities
- Professional Code of Conduct adherence
- EMR fluency
- Spreadsheet and basic data analysis proficiency
