Maine Health Maine Medical Center Windham Primary Care is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Associate (PA) to join their team. Candidates will be joining five Internal Medicine physicians and four Advanced Practice Providers, with a combined total of 79 years of experience, located in a spacious, newly renovated office. Call is outpatient only, with no attendance at deliveries or hospital call required, providing a healthy work/life balance.
Looking for candidates with primary care experience as an NP or PA. This is a part-time (20 hrs) benefited position.
Windham is the largest town in the Sebago Lake Region, located 10 miles west of Portland, Maine’s largest city. North Windham is a major population center boasting a combination of small businesses as well as national firms for local and seasonal customers. The area is a popular destination for outdoor sports and recreation as well as agricultural fairs and festivals. Our practice site is within easy access to Sebago Lake for boating and ice fishing, and the White Mountains Region for hiking, skiing, and all kinds of outdoor activities.

- Current Nurse Practitioner/Physician Associate license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure.
- Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate program.
- Master’s Degree required.
- Two years of Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant experience required.
- Current BLS certification.
- Knowledge of patient assessment techniques including taking medical histories, performing physicals, evaluating health status, including state of wellness and compliance with care recommendations.
- Skill in case management, time management, problem solving, crisis intervention, multitasking, and other organizational matters.
- Ability to make responsible decisions within scope of NP/PA Practice.
- Ability to educate patients, families, and staff in a user-friendly manner.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in using a computerized health information management system.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, clinical staff, and the public.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
