Assistant General Manager

Overview

The Assistant Store Manager will assist the Store Manager in overseeing the daily operation of the store, mentoring team members to deliver fast and friendly service, and ensuring every customer receives a great shopping experience.

• Assist the Store Manager in daily operations.
• Mentor team members for fast and friendly service.
• Ensure a great customer shopping experience.
• Maintain a courteous, friendly attitude throughout the shift.
• Stock and re‑stock inventory and merchandise across the facility.
• Check vendor deliveries and document receipts.
• Complete required paperwork including shift reports, gas reconciliation, and cigarette counts.
• Assist in training new staff.
• Assist Store Manager as needed.

• Minimum of one year retail experience.
• General computer knowledge.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to read and write, and to operate electronic equipment and sales transactions.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to stand, kneel, lift, and bend up to 25 pounds (25–30 pound limit for certain tasks).
• Must be able to work any shift within operational hours, including weekends.

• Lift up to 30 pounds at times.
• Traverse and access all areas of the store.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Prolonged periods standing and working at a cash register.
• Maintain physical maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness of all store facilities.

Starting Hourly Rate: $17.50
