Job Overview
This Principal Procurement Specialist (Hybrid) position is located in Windsor Locks, CT and requires 3 days per week onsite. The role involves managing supplier accounts across various commodities for the Propeller Systems organization, ensuring products are ordered and delivered on time, meet quality standards, and comply with all requirements.
Responsibilities- Responsible for on‑time purchase order placement, flow of orders, and first‑line delivery assurance in support of the Props Operations team to meet customer deliveries.
- Create compliance packages for military orders meeting FAR/DFARS requirements.
- Authorize purchase orders and approve payments to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly.
- Communicate with cross‑functional disciplines for alignment.
- Analyze and negotiate pricing quotes, financial reports, and other data to provide input on fair and reasonable prices.
- Analyze and monitor supplier contracts for pricing and renewal status to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Resolve supplier issues, including but not limited to Supplier Requests for Information (SRIs), Supplier Managed Work Transfers (SMWTs), payment, portal and receiving issues.
- University degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years, or 10 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- U.S. citizenship required for access to information under this program/contract.
- At least 3 years of experience in a purchasing manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Government procurement.
- SAP experience.
- Ability to analyze cost and pricing data and determine proposal compliance (FAR 15.4).
- Demonstrated knowledge of and compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS).
- Ability to multi‑task and perform effectively in a dynamic, fast‑paced, changing environment.
Role Type: Hybrid (employees will work regularly both onsite and offsite; onsite ratio determined in partnership with the leader).
Citizenship: U.S. citizenship required.
Salary Range86,800 USD – 165,200 USD (good faith estimate, based on experience).
