Contracts Manager; Hybrid

Overview

Contracts Manager (Hybrid) – RTX/Collins Aerospace. The role develops, analyzes, evaluates, and reviews contracts to ensure alignment with business and legal requirements for customer-facing contracts. The Contracts Manager gathers approvals per Delegation of Authority, ensures contractual obligations are flowed down to the business, reviews and drafts non-disclosure agreements as well as contracts for products and services, and participates in Integrated Project Management Plans across product lines to support the business and mitigate risk.

The role works with Subject Matter Experts to identify risks within contract terms and conditions.

• Draft contracts and proposal letters, amendments, claims, and assertions.
• Negotiate contract terms and conditions.
• License use of Collins Intellectual Property.
• Interpret contracts and review proposals created by other departments.
• Ensure compliance with US export rules and regulations.
• Resolve contract-related issues with internal and external customers.
• Collaborate with other contract managers within Collins Aerospace companies to coordinate activities.
• Draft and negotiate non-disclosure agreements, new equipment sales, aftermarket services and support, repair services, and amendments to existing contracts.
• Perform administrative tasks such as Contract Executive Summaries.
• Provide recommendations and guidance to various parts of the organization up to executive leadership.
• Work with the Office of General Counsel to ensure legal compliance, meet approval authority requirements, and minimize exposure to risk.
• Participate in special projects such as due diligence for mergers/acquisitions/divestitures, creation of policies and procedures, joint venture activities and support, and other ad hoc needs.
• Maintain excellent customer interfacing skills to build strong customer relationships while protecting Collins Aerospace interests.
• Serve as primary liaison between internal business and customers.
• Travel approximately 10% as required.

• You Must Have: Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with minimum 5 years of experience.
• Experience in contracts.

• Aerospace industry experience.
• MBA or business degree.
