Special Education Teacher Life Skills
In this role, you will be responsible for providing individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in a life skills program setting. You will create a safe and nurturing learning environment where students can develop essential skills for independent living, social interaction, and career readiness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Special Education or a related field
- CT Special Education Teaching License (165)
- Experience working with middle school students with disabilities (preferred)
- Strong understanding of modifications and accommodations and best practices in supporting students with severe to profound disabilities
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Culturally responsive teaching practices
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues
Salary Range:
As outlined in the WLTA contract
