PositionSenior Manufacturing Engineer
What You Will Do- Continuous improvement utilizing digital transformation initiatives with an emphasis on Agile, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies
- Interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate translation into manufacturing processes
- Generate clear, compliant work instructions to support production activities
- Identify areas for improved product manufacturability, reduced product cost, or improved product reliability
- Create presentations based on process data and results to show opportunities for productivity improvements and cost savings
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, continuous improvement, and lean six sigma
- Familiarity with Solumina preferred authoring new and editing existing plans
- Proficient to Expert in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams with Planner
- Self-motivated to ensure accountability, disciplined to improve processes, passionate about engineering, and organized to track many work streams
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Organized with the ability to multi-task while driving actions to completion
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel
- Experience with manufacturing processes, methods, and techniques of data visualizations for manufacturing
- Developed understanding of 5S & TPM methods
- Proficient in RCCA methodology to own actions to drive down product non-conformance
- Skilled in project management and follows up on tasks daily
- Strong understanding of routers and operations
Pay Range: $95,000 - $115,000 per year.
Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
Work RequirementsThis role is considered an on-site position located in Windsor Locks, CT.
- You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
- Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Travel requirements: Due to the nature of the work, no travel is required.
