We are seeking an experienced engineer to tackle complex structural and hardware challenges, drive innovative solutions, and deliver high-quality designs on schedule. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise in structural analysis and electronic packaging, and the ability to mentor others while working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and a record of initiative and innovation are essential.

What You Will Do
  • Resolve structural problems of difficult and complex scope, seeking balanced system solutions and ensuring engineering excellence with minimal supervisor oversight.
  • Review and approve product definition data.
  • Generate development hardware designs that meet objectives and facilitate on-schedule delivery.
  • Process technically sound engineering changes within schedule that meet performance metrics.
  • Utilize standard work and CORE/ACE tools to continuously improve the design process.
  • Mentor other engineers in process-related and technical subjects.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of engineering principles.
  • Possess direct experience with structural analysis and electronic packaging.
  • Understand hardware and manufacturing methods.
  • Proficient with engineering analysis tools.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely to all levels of the organization.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a consistent record of collaboration, innovation, and initiative.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Working knowledge of environmental testing equipment, procedures, and qualification activities (e.g., RTCA DO-160 or MIL-STD-810G).
  • Familiarity with the design and manufacturing processes of CCAs and metal housings.
  • An active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
