Industrial Engineer – Civil Space Manufacturing

We are seeking a highly motivated Industrial Engineer to join our Civil Space Manufacturing team. In this role, you will support the production of complex space hardware—including life‑support equipment and other mission‑critical assemblies for civil space programs. You’ll drive efficiency, quality, and throughput across manufacturing operations while ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, workflows, and production layouts for space hardware assembly and test
• Perform time studies, capacity analysis, and throughput modeling to identify opportunities for productivity improvement
• Lead waste‑reduction and continuous‑improvement initiatives
• Analyze nonconformances and support root‑cause and corrective‑action activities
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Design Engineering, Quality Engineering, Supply Chain, and Program Management
• Use digital manufacturing tools to drive data‑based decision making
• Utilize the CORE methodology to drive operational excellence, acting as the CORE domain focal for Civil Space in WLOX

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
• Minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
• Experience working in a production or assembly environment
• Analytical skills with proficiency in process modeling, data analysis, and problem‑solving tools
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous‑improvement methodologies
• Communication and collaboration skills

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD – 165,200 USD. The range provided is a good faith estimate representing all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the role, function, associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
