Director of Finance and Grant Administrator
The Board of Education is seeking an outstanding candidate to be named as the Windsor Locks Public Schools Director of Finance and Grant Administrator. The successful candidate will join a team of dedicated professionals committed to improving the Windsor Locks Public Schools while maintaining the fiscal and operational responsibilities of the district.
Qualifications:
- Ability to articulate a clear vision and understanding of school business management including: school budgets, competitive and entitlement grants and food service financials.
- Experience working with and supporting a collaborative leadership team through strong interpersonal skills at both the district level as well as with the town finance department.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary and benefits will be in accordance with a conditions of employment agreement with the Board of Education that is regionally competitive.

Superintendent of Schools
Summary:
The Director of Finance and Grant Administrator is responsible to maintain a thorough, efficient and fiscally responsible operation of all services of the school district including finance, payroll, employee benefit programs, and purchasing.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- The Director of Finance and Grant Administrator supervises the Accounting Specialist, Food Service Financials, Accounts Payable/Receivable, and Payroll/Benefits.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Accounting, Public or Business Administration preferred
- Five (5) years of prior related school district experience.
- Must have an excellent knowledge of Infinite Visions Integrated Financial & Personnel Management Software for Schools or similar software.
- An understanding of fund accounting and generally accepted accounting practices.
- Current CT School Business Administrator (085) Certification.
